Art Update: Working Out For The Ladies…

November 6, 2011 in Art, Featured

It’s been a real long time since I have made an appearance here, but rest assured, the eye-candy for this game is continuing to be churned out. Barring a power outage last weekend, I managed to get two more games finished this week: Punching Bag and Hula Dance. The Punching Bag game is a ‘tap-tap’ game, where you have to hit the bag a number of times (less times on the higher/faster levels) to correctly complete it. The Hula Dance game is another game that uses the spiffy accelerometer, where you have to swivel your phone to make the girl dance! I’d also like to note that we are no longer going to be adding in title art. The main reason for the title art was to introduce each game in training mode. It did little more than give a slight break in gameplay and a peek into what the game was going to be about, which it didn’t do a comprehensive job at anyways. We are going to rely on a brand new training system which will hold your hand walk you through the basics of the different game types and brief you on the UI elements. I really

Art Update: Magic 8-Ball

October 17, 2011 in Art

Whoa. It’s been awhile since my last update. Luckily, I have a couple pictures to show of the completed art for the next game: Magic 8-Ball. It’s an accelerometer based game, so get ready to shake those phones! (We’re not responsible for errant shaking which may send your phone flying at walls, cement floors, tv screens, or puppies.) That’s right, real men don’t lose. There are also a bunch of other supportive quips in there for you to discover, if you make it that far…

Art Update: Are You Scared of the Dark!?

October 12, 2011 in Art

Quick art update. I finished the “Pet Da Kitty Cat” and “Slam Dunk” title screens, and finished the game and title screen for “Lights Out!” Check ‘em out… I think that’s some good work for two days… Keep on trucking…

Art Update: New Titles, Meow, and Dunks!

October 10, 2011 in Art

Awesome weekend. Not only did we get an amazing amount of work done, but put ourselves on the fast track for implementing the new games and balancing them with ease. With another 10% of the UI yet to get completed (including Achievements and Insults) along with a few tweaks here and there, we’re doing awesome in moving forward towards launch. Anyways, here are some nice shots of the new Title Screens, Pet Da Cat game, and Slam Dunk game: It was a great weekend, and we’re going to try to keep riding along with this momentum!

Art Update: Balloons and Battleships

October 8, 2011 in Art

Woo! So after 24 hours of working, we have some pretty nice stuff to show off. Right now I’m going to give you a peek at the artwork for two more of our games, ‘Balloon Popper,’ and ‘Sink Da Battleship.’ (Ignore the UI text, it is just an example overlay; each game will have it’s own descriptive text in the bottom portion.) Now we don’t want to give away any more details on how the games will actually work or how they progress as levels get higher, so for now all you can do is feast your eyes on these screenshots. It’s back to work for me on some more Main Menu screens and UI work. Chris has gotten a lot done on the programming side as well, including most of the UI and level transitions. I’ll let him tell you more about that when he has a chance. Bonus: Here is a quick screenshot of the Loading Screen work in progress.
